There are a lot of characters and plot lines going on here. It sets a good stage for sequels but you don't get to spend as much time with the main romance. As a result, you aren't as invested in their relationship. 
Lots of wacky scenes and laughs, sometimes a bit too wacky, but in general a fun read. I question how this shifter population has managed to go undetected. 
I am on the fence with continuing the series. Stevie/Shen might be too much to pass up on...
