LUSH is the best way I know to describe this book. The descriptions were so vivid and colorful, I could see and smell and taste and feel my way through each scene. While I wasn’t particularly enthralled with either of the protagonists, the plot unfurled in a satisfying way,and I loved the way the circus was used as found family, as stage, and as hidden message. And I truly loved many of the side characters, particularly a certain clock maker. Heart eyes all around.
