Scoring with Him
Men of Summer Series, Book 1
By: Lauren Blakely
Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan

The rookie and the veteran. The only two gay baseball players on their team. Does this automatically make them a couple? Will there be talk? Of course there will be, but in true Lauren Blakely fashion, a beautiful love story is woven around them. Grant is the rookie, trying to make his mark so he is picked for the season. Declan, the seasoned player knows the rules. No relationships during playtime, it messes with your head. But these two have an undeniable attraction that cannot be resisted. Their slow burn story is sweet and steamy, and I love the way Blakely weaves these two together. Inexperienced to experienced, these two have witty banter, fun times and just enough angst to keep the story interesting! And the cliffhanger! Really? I want to know what is going to happen next! I loved this listen and look forward to hearing more of Declan and Grant.

With a team like Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton, I knew I was in for a treat. These two are fantastic together. They find the best inflections and nuances, giving both Declan and Grant the perfect voices. The dream team of Blakely, Morgan and Hamilton makes this a must listen!

What a loss!

We experience the loss harder than we do the wins. Fresh in your mind and hurting, it's hard to brush off this ending. Good thing I'm a hopeless romantic and already knew it was a ckiffhanger. I already have book 2 downloaded and cued up.

Morgan and Hamilton (moans inappropriately) have once again made puddles out of listeners. Their individual voices are distinct and damn near erotic but their combined hotness makes earbuds melt, undergarments disolve, and uncontrollable animalistic groans a reality!

Dec and Grant are EVERYTHING, until they aren't in Scoring With Him. Guess we need to go for the win!?! Winning With Him here I come.

This has got to be the only sports romance I've ever read where the characters want to be on different teams. How is that better? How is that more acceptable to everyone around you? You literally (explicitly!) tell each other your weaknesses.

I was not paying much attention to this. I started dissociating for entire parts, and I don't know exactly what happened in them. But I liked the guys and I'm unwilling to say anything unfavourable, so 3 stars.

First of the year 2023 and a strong one, except for that unexpected cliff hanger…

You lucky you’re a hot book with lots of smut, angst and lip biting (by me) or you’d be losing a star for that kind of behaviour!!

Its a series (didn’t know that when I started) and that kinda ruined it for me as i prefer my romance books as (interconnected) standalones. I just cant deal with all the ups-and-downs. But that is kind of my fault.
