I’m a big fan of this series but it’s clear how confident and seasoned she has become in her writing here in the third book. The writing was relentlessly charming and witty. I felt myself laughing and smiling along most of the book. A wonderful, lighthearted read that left me wanting a movie universe post-haste.

3.5 stars. While I did enjoy this quite a bit more than the second book, neither can compare to Cecilia and Ned, I’m afraid.
Alice and Daniel had quite a bit of chemistry and their spy jobs were oh so fun. And as always, I loved the classic literature quotes thrown in.
I did, however, struggle as I do with most of India Holton’s books with the instant attraction. I think this was one of her most similar main characters, so I wish we would’ve been able to explore more about why they like each other than just physical things. I also didn’t ~love~ how naive Alice was portrayed to be. As if she didn’t know anything, and let Daniel take the lead.

Slightly slow to start but I really enjoyed it in the end. I like how it developed existing characters and tied in their story with the main characters from the first two books. A really nice end to the series
