Just what I needed after a very stressful (but good) read. This series continues to be delightful, and Daniel and Alice are probably my favorite protagonists in the series so far. They're just so good! And pretty hot together, tbh. Looking forward to whatever is next, and also possibly a reread of the series.

Hilarious and delightful. The Butler and the Maid get their story now! And it is a romp. Plot twist, they are secret agents, Alá 007!

Daniel and Alice (aka: Agent A and Agent B) were fun, the tension was crackling between them, but i must confess that what i loved MOST about this book was all the chaos of the plot and the side characters! They were absolutely hilarious!

It was also nice to see my favorite characters from the last book make a few cameos. (What can i say, Irish pirates do something for me every time! )

This world is insane, batty and ridiculous, but i truly love all the good natured shenanigans of all these various villainous characters, and i love how they welcome Alice into their fold. Alice with her 'on the spectrum' rep, was the weak point for me, as this isn't something that appeals to me personally, especially in this sort of story, but she does do some funny things as a result of her literal language skills and her touch reactions, i also (always) dislike the female superiority messaging, and the random bondage mentions that are dropped in here and there (seemingly everywhere now) but for the most part, i was able to keep those references from distracting me too much from enjoying the story.

Book two remains my favorite in the series, but i will definitely revisit this authors series' and enjoy my time, i have no doubt!

The humor and wit, references and cheeky puns are all well done, and the Audiobooks make the series' even better. This author is very talented, and i appreciate her work very much.

This very well may be the strangest plot I’ve ever read. I think the fact that I’ve clearly read this book out of order from the others in the series has contributed to this confusion, but I do think that even if I HAD read it in order, I would still be shocked by some of these elements LOL. Pirates…..that fly….ensorcelled houses?!!? Houses???? How did the author even conceive of this. Not to mention the fact of the pirates and their interpersonal dynamics, and don’t even get me started on all the ‘magical incantation’ business. Everyone can employ magic, yet only a certain group are considered witches?? How does that even track. Now, let’s get down to brass tax: Alice and Daniel. I must admit— and I do this under some duress— that I really quite loved their love story. It was very ‘Morticia and Gomez,’ which, as anyone who knows me knows, is my dream couple. The apex of a love story. So anything that reminds me of them is sure to get a pretty solid rating from me. I like that Alice and Daniel never abandoned their true selves throughout all the ridiculousness, and kept their quirks. It would’ve been disappointing if they’d left A.U.N.T and suddenly become entirely different people.
