Sports romance (hockey), singer, workplace (assistant), grumpy x sunshine, went to high school together

MMC: Jamie Streicher; 26
FMC: Pippa Hartley; 24 (Songbird)

3.65⭐️ It was nice he’s this grumpy goalie who just transferred back to his hometown and only cares about taking care of his mom and hockey until he gets a dog and a new assistant who turns out to be his high school crush that he never got over.

““Sounds like you have a fan,” he says, flicking a grin at Jamie. No teasing. No overconfident smirk. Just a smile. “Her biggest fan.” Jamie’s words don’t have the bite they usually do when he speaks to Rory.”

4.5 Stars

This book took me a couple of chapters to fall into, but once we really got a good look into Jamie, I started to really enjoy this book. I liked the inclusion of his mom as a major player in the plot. She added enough depth without taking away from the main goal of the story. I enjoyed this and I will continue with the series.
