A really good well written guidebook of the Farne Islands, fairly easy to read and not full of technical jargon like some guidebooks. I just visited the islands recently and reading this book took me right back there. The facts about the animals and marine life were great and so interesting, and so we’re the parts about human history of the islands. The human stories and the wildlife just combine to make the islands such an amazing place. I wish the book had had a map of the islands though, because there’s so many of them and it’s complicated to remember where they all are.
Moderate: Animal cruelty and Animal death
Minor: War, Death, and Violence
Information about vulnerable species, information about expected negative effects of climate change/other environmental issues
