Personally I think this wasn't one of his best books, the gap-filling could've been done through free content on the website - deleted/extended scenes in rough draft form rather than in an actual book we had to buy.

That being said it really did make me laugh and I loved Horace and Evanlyn's (or Cassandra) wedding as well as Will and Alyss' and the beginnings of Gilan and Jenny.

The story about the Ranger's horses too was pretty awesome, a bit far fetched perhaps that every single Ranger's horses are essentially exact replicas of their first one but a nice take on it all the same.

A couple stories didn't seem as strong to me, but it was nice to see Gilan and Jenny each get a story. I also enjoyed the story of Halt's recruitment to the Rangers. 10/21/12

Just reread this with Andy. Since this was a group of short stories it took longer for him to get through them all. He wants to stick with Will, and didn't seem enticed by the Brotherhood teaser.

A fun read that ties up some loose ends. A bit of insight into some of the perennial favourite characters....Would have liked a story about Horace...

I am so sad that this series is over, although I definitely loved hearing these "lost" stories that helped fill in some gaps!

Just generally, collections of short stories tend to get lower ratings from me because I tend to rate based off of an approximate average of how I felt about each story.

I think this being the “11th” book is a little misleading because this is really not necessary for a casual reader of the series. It’s more of a collection of stories stemmed from questions that have been posed to the author over the years. I enjoyed them for the most part, but I wouldn’t say this is book 11 of a 12 book series.

Then again, I also think people should read book 7 before book 5, so this series is a bit of an odd one reading order-wise.

Such a good collection of short stories about my favorite world. The Wolf actually brought me to tears. It was fantastic. Some of the stories were slower than others, however, and harder to get through.

This is a way cool ending to the series and a cool way to introduce the new series. I hope it is as good.
