That was actually sad. I kinda relate to the feeling of wanting to connect with someone, i felt the sadness about unresponded texts and not being anyone's favorite.

In a worldwide pandemic, we often take many things for granted. We have to determine what is most important to prioritize to bring into our homes and how to keep our families safe. So what happens during the pandemic when your desires are riled up like a cat stuck in a tree? Loving and sexual adventure doesn’t simply end because a pandemic hits. In a new short,

The many faces of longing and desire. The many faces of desire after a pandemic and qurentine.

I stumbled upon this book by pure luck on Scribd today and was roped in in an instant. I loved it!

I loved all the nuances and the many human emotions packed into this short story and I really want more! The ending was too sudden but a perfect potential cliffhanger.

A story about a mid 30s queer who has been quarantined for a whole year and just wanted to experience desire again. She tries to go to a sex party, ends up feeling big feelings when she gets there and takes a bus home only to make a meaningful connection with a stranger on a bus. I give it 3 stars only because I wish it was longer and had more time to develop a story. As we get into the beginning of the third year in the pandemic, I think we will start getting more stories like this that we can relate too in sacrificing fun and personal desire for public health safety. I can’t wait to read more Kaitlyn Greenidge’s books!

I really hope the author goes on to write a novel around this character or one like her.
