I think this is a book to be read and not listened to. I felt like I wasn't a good enough listener during the first few hours. The prose really needs to be savored.

what a scarily ambitious novel. def a phenomenon that happens so rarely, it feels almost unearned. felt like the book and i were at odds sometimes but it was an incredible journey.

This book was beautifully written at times, and certain passages were incredible, but as a whole product, I couldn't get through it.
