quinnster's review against another edition
slow-paced
3.5
I read other reviews that said this book was very dark, but I thought it was rather tame and slightly boring. It picked up about halfway through and I liked Annabel. It was fun to read a book where the main character wasn't the detective, but someone who does the behind the scene work that detectives depend on. The ones who never get the credit. I was disappointed that despite spending half the book in Colin's head I never really felt like Haynes truly explored his motivations and how he committed his crimes (?).
