I definitely enjoyed the ending of this book and it ALMOST made me want to read the next one, but I was very disconnected from the characters the whole time. I wasnt invested in the story, and it just felt like a SJM book with not much original thought. I still enjoyed the book and can see how many would rate this higher, but I was reading it at the same time as Throne of Glass, so my rating was much lower. I think there were a lot of details that felt random and thrown together.
