A collection of Cosmere stories? What's not to love! Mistborn: Secret History is required reading for those who want to know the behind-the-scenes. I plan to reread it (and much of the Cosmere) before or after Stormlight book 5 comes out, to catch things that would have gone over my head the first time. I just love how the Cosmere is coming together.

The cosmere is truly one of the most impressive reading universes that exist and this short stories compilations proves it's place near the top. There is so much variety and so much well earned fan service that I cannot help but have my jaw on the floor and my brain dazzled in amazement. The top stories for me are obviously secret history as well as edgedancer, emperoror's soul and sixth of dusk. To say any specifics about any story would involve spoilers but the brain of Brandon Sanderson should be treasured and respected in the moment as his world building and imagination/creativity is second to none.

Some stories were better than others. I do enjoy Lyft as a character.
So much fun to delve into the Cosmere and see things connecting.
Some good stories (I actually liked Edgedancer, despite how annoying Lift is. Great pacing, honestly Sanderson is an expert storyteller). The Emperor's soul was also quite good. Those two were easily 4 stars. Offset by the one-star "Mistborn:Secret History", and the mediocre Wax&Wayne shorts. The horror story with the woman named Shadow was okay, ended a bit abruptly. Sixth of the Dusk was another 3-4 star--mostly because I was impressed by how much worldbuilding Sanderson managed to get into such a short story. And the bird parasites were a cool idea.
After reading Edgedancer, I suppose I'm ready to read the next Stormlight Archive book...!
