Back with the Anaconda Team and things got intense🫡 So many things were going on in this book that I was constantly on the edge of my seat waiting for any crumbs J Rose would give.
I truly admire Ember’s character. While she reminds me of other FMCs in the J Rose universe, she is also so different and stands on her own. Ember is filled with rage and trying to get revenge, but also has a soft side to her. She thinks she’s undeserving and unredeemable, but her guys are always there to show her how untrue this is, how worthy she is❤️🩹
Ember, Axel, Warner, Hyland, and Blaine have all walked their own paths, survived their own things, but the way they’re slowly forming a family that can rely on each other and is there for each other is beautiful. Each of the guys supports Ember in different ways, and Ember does the same for them. The dynamics are always different, but so fitting for each of them, and I love the bonds these characters have created.
In regard to the plot, there is SO much going on! We have lots and lots of drama and lots of sadness too🥲 We got a lot of answers in this book, but also so many more questions. I can’t wait to see where the storyline goes in book 3 after that ending. I already knew something was coming because I’ve learned a J Rose ending is never safe😂 but I did not expect that. I finished this book five days ago, and I’m still trying to come up with theories and make it make sense.
There was one twist in this book about a certain character that I absolutely loved, and it added such an interesting storyline to this book. Since book 1, when this twist was teased, I was trying to come up with theories, and nothing could’ve prepared me for what actually happened😅 I’m really hoping more comes from it in book 3!!
Thank you to J. Rose and Valentine PR for gifting me this arc!

Violence and dark secrets surround Ember as she navigates her freedom after being saved by Sabre Security. She continues to battle the lasting effects of her time in captivity while helping the team try to end Gael’s reign. The threats are mounting with a bounty on her head, and everyone around her is impacted by Gael’s thirst for revenge and the return of 768.
Ravaged Soul was filled with tension, twists, spice, and suspense, keeping me on the edge of my seat for the entire book. I enjoyed seeing other crossover characters from this shared world appear in the storyline. The ending was satisfying, but left me wanting more with that teaser of what’s to come. I am excited about where the series is going in book 3. I would reread Ravaged Soul, making it worthy of my 5 / 5 Star rating.

These Sabre Security men are the hottest I've read...
Warner. Hyland. Axel. Blaine. All just love to please Ember and bring down Gael's empire
In the meantime, why not have some fun. The story teeters on mayhem and violence but also entangled limbs and Tangled hearts.
It's fast & furious with steam billowing from all pages.
“4 stars for The Ghost”

Yesssss... The slow-burn paid off! Book 2 had so many check boxes for me: We see Ember and the guys finally admit their feelings and desires for each other; we see Ember exact her revenge in various situations; and we have the family back together.
However! The pain they all go through :( My heart hurt for them so many times. Ember, Warner, Hy, Axel, and Blaine go through so much pain in this installment. Physically, mentally, and emotionally they are beat down and abused. They all are so independent that it is hard to allow the others in the group to help them. This becomes a focus point throughout the book- Ember realizing that she is not weak for allowing the guys to help support and protect her. The guys realizing that they do not have to keep Ember in a bubble in order to protect her, and that despite her physical disability now, she is more than capable of protecting herself and them. There are difficulty conversations, and I have a feeling there will be more in the next installment in the series.
I love seeing the connections with the other characters in the shared J Rose universe.
I am so thankful to J Rose and Valentine PR & Literary Management for sending me an ARC of Ravaged Soul in exchange for my honest review

This is the second book in the Anaconda Tales which picks up in the aftermath of book 1. I absolutely loved book 1 so I was super excited to read this book. For the most part I really enjoyed this story but mainly the last half then the first half. I do have to say that the pacing for the first half was slow and it felt like the plot was just going in circles. Nothing big was happening so I wasn’t into the story. I did like learning about the characters but book 1 had a lot of action then this one. However, the second half was amazing and saved the story. It expanded more of the mission and story. This book is told from multiple povs but mainly Ember’s.
Ember is a strong FMC, and I loved seeing more of her growth. I can’t wait to see more of her in book 3. Then we have our men. I do have to say that this book included a lot more of Hyland and Alex. I love them but I feel we don’t know much of Warned and Blaine. We were also robbed from getting more than one pov of Blaine but I hope to see more of him in book 3. I also hope to see more of our suprise guest, especially with the way the ending went. The romance develops throughout this book but I wish we got Blaine and Ember moments. I loved seeing Ember’s connection with the other guys which were steamy so I hope to see more with Blaine.
The ending was well done which ends with a cliffhanger for book 3. I really enjoeyd the found family aspect of the story. I am excited to read the next book because I do want to know what happens next. Did I like this book as much as book 1, no, but it was still a good book. Will be waiting for the next one and probably in the meantime I will check out Rose’s other books.

eARC review ~ 4.5 stars!!
Ravaged Soul picks up exactly where Fractured Soul left off—right back into the raw depths of rage, revenge, and high-stakes action.
Ember is still reeling from the trauma of her six-year captivity, clinging to the hope that revenge will bring her some form of peace. With her brother missing and leads to take down Gael thinning, the team is willing to risk everything to get him back - including trusting an enemy. For Ember, if it comes to sacrificing herself to save her guys, there is no option. Even if it means losing herself to 768 once again. But can Ember & 768 co-exist, or will it cost her everything?
I was really happy with the character development and getting to know each of the guys more. Ember continues to be the badass FMC that refuses to break, and I can absolutely get on board with a girl that uses sarcasm and humor to deflect.
I would be doing this book a serious disservice if I didn't mention the spice. Gooooodness the spice in this was freaking SPICY and I could not get enough! As is with RH's, there's always going to be a favorite and while there is no wrong answer, the right answer is Blaine.
For fans of dark revenge romance- this book is packed with twists, violence, tension, delicious spice, jaw-dropping turns, and a cliffhanger that has me feral for book 3.

Holy cliffhanger 😭
This book is everything the first one was x10. The spice level kicked waaaaay up along with the tension tension and threw in a bit of pining for good measure 😌. Another book I read cover to cover because it kept me on the edge of my freaking seat??
Ember really just needs to smack all the guys heads together. They're all jealous and possessive which, hot, but girl wants to be in the middle of a four man sammie and they really just need to get on board. Blaine definitely has the most points in my book.
I say again - holy cliffhanger.
