If you need an emotional romance you need to grab Taking the Leap. It is an amazing addition to the River Rain Series. Alex and Rix have been part of the series from the beginning. So thrilled they finally get a happily ever after together.

Favorite of the series. Rix & Alex help & support each other through so much. And I loved the description  of all of their outdoor adventures.

I really dig this new series. I like it, because the main topic is human relationship in all it's forms and it's about flawed and multifaced characters. Yes, many of them are rich, but they don't have golden lifes. They have troubles and insecurities just like everybody else. I love it! Can't wait to read stories for Sul, Hale, Gage, Jamie, Rhys etc.

I absolutely loved the first two books in this series, and while I really enjoyed this one, I struggled for about the first 25% of this one. It's totally possible that the audiobook played a part in me not loving the start of this book, but Rix was just a little too harsh for me at the start of this one. I get why he didn't totally like Alex at the start, there was definitely a bit of a misunderstanding at the start, but I don't think that completely excuses his behavior. Once that entire situation was cleared up though, I couldn't put this book down. I loved that Alex didn't back down from Rix about his behavior/attitude once everything was out in the open. I also did really enjoy how their relationship developed and morphed over the course of the book.

Something I really enjoy in Kristen's books is how the relationship flows throughout the book. I know that doesn't make a ton of sense, unless you've read her work before, but there's just something about it that works so well for me, at least in this series. I like that you really get to see the characters be happy together while also working through both internal and external struggles. I also love that you get the occasional POV from a side character. It add such a fun element to this series, and in this book those side characters are main characters from the previous books.

Even with me not loving the first part of this book, I still had a great time and would totally reread this one in the future. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy any of the following.

✔️ Fake Relationship
✔️ Workplace
✔️ Player Hero/Shy Heroine
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Multiple POV (Both First and Third)

This was very classic KA and I loved it! A good amount of push and pull, I loved the hurdles this H and h had to overcome. As usual, I can't wait for all the other stories this series has in store. KA has a knack for making you love love and this book was no exception.
