I heard such great things about this book and was so excited for it. I hated it & DNF halfway through. I guess mafia romances aren’t for me and that’s okay. I didn’t like either of the main characters. I usually love asshole guys in books but Nico was awful. He straight up told Elena he’d assault her & told Adrianna he’d rape her. No thank you. I thought it’d get better but I didn’t care enough to finish. One star is only because I liked some of her family members.

Oh that was good.

Really well written Mafia romance with some very sexy leads and none of the annoying tropes that are all too often utilised. (There seems to be an obsession with feminine virginity and masculine promiscuity that I just cannot get behind in a lot of books.)

There was decent plot, interesting character interactions outside of the FMC and MMC pairing and a great standard of writing throughout.

I didn't even mind the miscommunication trope in this one because it had a genuine reason for being included and was written well.

A quintessential mafia romance that far surpasses all other quintessential mafia romances.

I had never picked up a mafia romance before because I was convinced I would not like it. Pshhhhh FALSE. The writing was good and the banter/dialogue between characters was incredible.

Nico had me acting foolish while reading this in public. “He had something I wanted.”
