She had me in the first half, ngl.

While I was happy to see the return of Captain Hastings, I felt the structure of the mystery was rather pedestrian. As another reviewer pointed out, I should have had more faith in Agatha Christie. That's on me.

i never felt super invested in the episode for this story, so i'm not surprised to feel the same way about actually reading it, but i wasn't expecting to get a first person narration from hastings and it was kinda sweet to have the narrator being so fond of poirot. they're just buddies

"A well-balanced, reasoning mind there is no such thing as an intuition—an inspired guess!"

Another masterpiece plot in Poirot series ,masterminded by The Queen of Crime.

The book talks about a murderer killing people according to the alphabet of their name and the place where they live. And not stopping there, he also mails a letter prior to commiting those killings to Poirot, daring him to catch him if he can.

This classic book of cat and mouse chase, will keep you turning pages, till you see the end of the case.

Anytime Christie rarely dis-appoints her readers.
