 really enjoyed this book!
i loved the eerie vibe, and reading it in september made the timing perfect.
the author's descriptions were gorgeous, especially how signa's eyes were described.
the mystery wasn't predictable at all (i literally gasped when it unfolded).
the characters were perfect too, each with just enough unlikeable traits to feel real, which i love in books.
i didn't give it 5 stars because it took me a while to get into, and some side characters felt a bit underdeveloped. but overall, such a great read and i'm excited to pick up the next one!

2.75 ⭐️ I feel there was missed potential with experiencing loss in this book that the author could have expanded upon. I didn’t feel like loss and sadness was explored enough especially with the spirts being characters in the book already - missed opportunity. I am unsure if this was intentionally done however, as I feel this book is more targeted to a YA audience. Overall, the premise for the story had such potential and I feel this just missed the mark
