4.5 stars ~ i listened to this as an audiobook and it was absolutely AMAZING! the interview format was so fun and an amazing way to tell this story i was fully captured. I feel like if i read this book in the traditional way i would give it 3.5-4 stars but the audiobook was incredible. props to the voice actors

update: just learned the voice of daisy jones is jennifer beals who plays bette porter in the L word and my mind is blown. thank you jennifer beals

Daisy Jones and the Six is a cross between the movie 'Almost Famous' and VH1's 'Behind the Music'. A first hand view of a perfect storm. Having the right songwriters, musicians and producers to create an epic album- during what was one of the best musical decades. I absolutely loved this book, the style which she chose to write and how raw and real these characters became. I can't wait to see the tv series and hope they can do this book some justice by making it just as good.

Really awesome book. The whole thing is engaging. Each character was well-fleshed out. The two main characters, especially, were complexly layered, and I was drawn to them and their struggles.

This wasn’t what I expected — in the best way! Very digestible, very engaging, and made me care about the characters. Rereadable? Nah. But read it!
