Why do I keep reading these? I find Erikson's writing very....teenage angsty? And I just don't care enough about any of the characters to try and follow the plot. Lot of people died in this one and I, who normally cries at everything (plus I'm pregnant and super hormonal right now), could not care less.

Filled with the usual deep, dark, solo musings, the book feels like a landslide that gathers momentum constantly (and sometimes confusingly), finally coming together at the end.

Every volume of this series has been five stars for me except this one. Too much focus on characters and plot lines that I just wasn’t fully invested in. But ten stars for the last hundred pages. As epic as it gets! Death on a massive scale, so much heartbreak one monster of a cliffhanger. Can’t believe there is only one more to go!
