I really enjoyed this one, just as much as "Goodnight Moon". Though I haven't read many of her books, I have a feeling she's a quality author and that many of her books will prove to be well-written, well illustrated classics. I read this particular one in a baby board book form.

This is a sweet children’s picture book about all of the animals on the farm with a big red barn and their daily adventures. The pictures were well done

I'm going to be the dissenter here and say that I really can't stand the poetry of this book. In my opinion anyone with a high school education could write poetry as good or better than this. Felicia Bond's illustrations are magnificent, but reading this book I felt that she had stooped too low to illustrate such horrible poetry.

One of Kinnell's favorites. Mine too. "Goodnight Moon" gets all the love, but I like this one just a tiny bit better, I think.

Revisiting another childhood favorite. Some lines and images are so familiar it gives me goosebumps.

Rhyming text describes a typical day on a farm in this nicely illustrated picture book.

The Big Red Barn is a favorite to read right before bedtime. My kids, especially my daughter, loves the rhyming and trying to find the butterfly that appears in almost every scene. It's a refreshing story with great art.

Grayson and I really like this book. I think it is a classic but it was a first for us both. The drawings were great and I liked the noises, so did Grayson! ;) And how it took us through the day at the farm into evening! That was a great perspective. My favorite page is the visual picture of the moon "sailing" in the sky! :) I LOVE picture puns.

I was obsessed with the eggs in this book when I was little. Don't ask me why, I have no idea.
