2nd of the SOT series- be sure to read Making the Cut first to avoid spoiler! I adore Amy and Brock! Amy’s spunk in book 1 really shines in this one. And Brock... yum! Serious drama, serious heroes and serious love.

Really enjoying this series so far and hope that the next book comes out soon.

Love Anne Malcom's writing style she has a delicate hand with the characters and really brings them to life. Amy is my favourite out of the current two books in the series.

From the very first page of this book I was drawn in by the angst that Anne Maclom created between Brock and Amy. The angst was strong enough to suck the oxygen out of my body and the only way I could survive was to keep reading.

Brock and Amy have this toxic yet beautiful relationship. They have this chemistry together that just blows you away. Throughout their relationship the two had to climb over so many obstacles to be together. I laughed with them, I cried with them, and I swooned over them. I just love them so much as a couple.

Brock is your bad boy biker who also has a surfer boy kind of image. He was unique and a dream worthy man. Everytime he was in a scene I had to make sure I was not drooling on my kindle. Amy though is my soul sister just like Gwen. These female leads that Anne Maclom writes are epic with a killer sense of style. Amy was a strong female lead who had this emotional side that brought tears to my eyes. Amy has a piece of my heart and I love her so much.

Firestorms hit every expectation I had for it and I don’t think that Anne Maclom can write a bad book. I’m so excited to read more of this biker world.

OMG this two were cats and dog fighting all the time jajaja but I loved it!!!

But really Anne Malcolm did you have to push the Ian dagger so for in. This one hurt so much because I loved him buuuuut as much as it hurt I know it was necessary I got I little bit of closure so thank you for that.

Now on to the next one...

It’s way too similar to the first in the series. It’s basically the first book but in Amy’s pov which I don’t rly like. But I do enjoy seeing what happened after (spoilers) Ian died and her reaction.

First of all i will say if you haven't read 'Making the cut' go and read it before you read 'Firestorm'

I was really not sure about reading this book. I enjoyed book one 'Making the cut' and Amy was a strong character in it, but i realized that some of the events of book one were going to run parallel with book two and this is a really difficult thing to do well.

Book one was Gwen's POV, this book is Amy's story so some of the events are the same as book one but from Amy's POV. This is done really really well. In book one we heard maybe the end of an argument or we see Amy's reactions to an event but we don't understand why or what the situation is. But rather than rehash the events we have already read in book one, which other authors have done and i have to say its really boring, there are very few instances where we reread anything the way it was written in the first book.

The other reservation i had was reading about Ian. I don't want to put too many spoilers in for those who may not have read 'Making the cut' so i won't be to specific After the events of 'Making the Cut' surrounding the conclusion of the events regarding Ian, i wasn't sure i could go back and read about him earlier in his life, but its done really well, in fact as moving as these events are in 'Making the Cut' i found this book very emotional, putting Amy in a really difficult position.

Amy's character is sassy, really sarcastic and funny and also an emotional mess, we learn about her family background early on which explains a lot. Including meeting Uncle Garret who is fantastic.

Amy and Brock argue 80% of the time and before they sort themselves out it always ends badly. Usually with him storming off leaving her struggling with her feelings. At times i wished he'd grow up and try to see past her armor and try harder to reach her but at the same time he doesn't understand her background like Ian does but later in the book when he does he really fights to keep her. Then he's really sweet and supportive But expect fireworks, in fact when they do get together, of sorts, Amy thinks that she likes waking before him in the morning and watching him sleep as he hasn't had a chance to make her angry yet.

I found the book very moving but also hilarious, even in the most dire of situations as Amy, rather than fear and succumb to anxiety throws out sass, even when she really shouldn't.
I really laughed so much my hubby was asking me why and i couldn't explain to him for laughing and then i was crying... the scene with Amy and Ian's Dad.. oh my goodness how emotional.

There is also the introduction of other new people from another club in New Mexico, and we have potential story lines for Luke(the Police guy)and Cade's sister which sounds like a good plot.

We also catch up with Cade and Gwen to see how they are getting along and we meet Kenton which also has potential for a book or even a series.

Looking forward to news of the next book.
