An OK quick read on the story of friendship. I felt like the story could have gone in a few different ways to be more impactful (though I don't know what those ways would be).

I do wonder if I lost a little in the translation. There are some bits that felt almost too unbelievable for me, but I still liked it.

esse é o meu segundo livro de literatura coreana lido na vida. por mais que eu tenha bastante contato com a cultura, a prosa de asiáticos é diferente da nossa ocidental, então ainda assim houve um estranhamento meu com relação a isso.

no entanto, de maneira nenhuma a narração atrapalhou minha experiência. a autora narra de certa forma que tudo parece simples e factual, mas as descrições de cenário e emoções são simples de uma forma que é exatamente isso. real. esse livro lê-se como uma obra cinematográfica, tudo que eu lia conseguia visualizar perfeitamente como se estivesse vendo um filme. o que aliás: orando para virar um filme, porque seria incrível ter essa história acessível no formato audiovisual também.

a capa brasileira também é muito linda. amo ter ela na minha estante. já estou planejando minha releitura, em inglês da próxima vez, já que a edição em português veio diretamente da tradução para o inglês e não do texto original.
