zzy and and the crew really outdo themselves in this EPIC ending to the Wardbreaker series. Lost cities, kidnapped by an an evil mobster, trapped in the Tempest... only Izzy's crew can save her! This book is action packed, full of mind-bending magical fight scenes, with a little love and a lot of camaraderie tossed in to boot. Thank you Katerina. You did not disappoint!

Heir to the Throne is the fourth and final book in Katerina Martinez's Wardbreaker series. This book continues where book three left off and races ahead to conclude this series with an epic battle on both sides that will leave you page-turning to learn how it's all going to turn out.
Izzy crosses back over into the Tempest and the Drowned Queen's city comes to the surface. This sets off a chain of events in both worlds. The Drowned Queen knows that her chance is at hand to try to break free from her prison and all mages in the real world feel the shockwave of power that tears through the world as the Tempest roars with Izzy's reentrance. The crew is going to be tested like no other time before them as they have to deal with the consequences of Izzy struggling mentally due to the crown.
This book is fast-paced and probably the best one in the series in my opinion. I will admit that Izzy allowing the crown to break her to a degree was a bit disappointing, but I applaud Beckett for being the one to help shake her from her stupor. I raised an eyebrow at a certain moment in the story wondering if the author was going to allow things to go smooth as silk for the characters, but she throws in a twist that I was hoping for and loved.
This book is the most intense and hard to put down. I applaud the author for tying in the title of the story sooner than the previous book. This book is worth the read and I highly recommend it. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.
