A cute sequel to the Witchy Rom Com. Clem must listen to her heart or her head and do what’s best for her coven. These books are fun and spicy all in one!

A fun, fast paced, witchy read perfect for those who love paranormal romcoms with a great story. I adored the first in the series- Witch Please and this one was just as charming. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Clementine "Clem" Waterhouse has always been the person to take care of others and fend for herself. She did it for years as her parents went through a nasty relationship and breakup and she's currently doing it now in helping her cousin deal with her growing feelings for a mundane - much to their grandmother's chagrin.

When a witch hunter shows up in town threatening her coven, Clem volunteers to be the one to distract him away from her friends and family. But when Clem meets the hunter Gavin Rhys, she realizes that he may post more than a threat to the coven, the biggest threat may be to her heart.

Gavin has been living under his father's orders for as long as he can remember. When you are the son of the leader of the Witch Hunters, there are certain expectations that follow you. But honestly, Gavin's heart has never been in it and since meeting Clem he starts to see more than the thankless job he currently inhabits. But when her secret is revealed, it calls into question everything he's ever been taught about hunters and witches.

Overall, I liked Clem's story much more than Dannica's. I just felt like the stakes were higher and it just made for a more compelling read. I think the major draw for me was just getting a bigger and better glimpse into the world Ann Aguirre created. Getting a bit more of the history of the witches and, in this case, witch hunters was interesting. There were a few small tidbits that were maybe mentioned in passing that I'd be interested to see if they're expanded upon in the next book like the witch hunters that were introduced in the first book, but expanded upon in the second.

Honestly, I liked Clem and Gavin just fine, but I wasn't here for their romance story like I was for how things would play out between the opposing factions of witches and hunters. I also liked seeing both Gavin and Clem assert themselves within their families. How they both have dealt with varying issues with their parents (or grandparents) and how those things have had long-term effects on them. I liked seeing Gavin and Clem begin to cope and realize that they don't have to carry those issues over into their own lives.

Overall, though, I've really enjoyed this series and look forward to continuing to read about these characters and watching this world grow.

Boss Witch is a cute, light hearted romance with witchy magic.

I liked it…..but beware, it took me a long time to get into the story (as in it started off slow) and I don’t feel like I ever got truly invested in the characters.

Fans looking for something light and fun and fans of The Ex Hex will enjoy this one!
