Lethal Lesson (Lane Winslow #8) by Iona Wishaw It is December in the Kootenays and the local schoolteacher has gone missing. Lane offers to teach at the school until she is found or a replacement teacher can be sent. Around the same time two other incidents happen: the previous teacher (who was on her way home) is found beaten up very badly and a local man is found after a hit and run. Is the missing teacher responsible for all this destruction? or did something else happen in this small town? This series is an enjoyable slice of Post War life in Canada.

This book is part of one of my favorite cozy mystery series. I was worried after introducing a marriage into the series the dynamics between the characters would change. I'm so happy to report everyone has been remaining true to themselves. This was such a delight to read. Even if it was a bit painful for this Midwesterner to read about snowstorms in the beginning of May.
