As an american expat living in england I enjoyed the main characters experiencing in the UK ALOT. because of this I found those situations relatable and humorous and made me very happy. Good writing, good pacing and overall good story. I found myself looking up ghost tales to see if any were true or book lore because I found them so interesting! Looking forward to reading the next one.
not my favorite of V’s books, but still so very good! i will be eagerly waiting for more Cassidy and Jacob.

This was a reread, and I felt the same about it this time around. Good characters, and decent plot, some spooky scenes. But ultimately, it meandered in places, and felt mostly like set-up for the rest of the trilogy.

I loved this. Of course I loved this! I started reading City of Ghosts and (as usual) Schwab's writing style just grabbed my attention 129%. The characters were fantastic, the setting so real I could just about touch it, and the story absolutely gripping. Highly recommended!

This book was real nice! because it is a middle grade it wasn’t as “deep” as i like my books to be but i still loved it! the story is fun and original and very nicely written. if you want a quick easy fun and exciting read definitely pick this one up!
