🧠 My thoughts
It was a light-hearted story about fortitude and patience. The artwork was stunning and very easy to read. It was also a bit of historical fiction and I really liked it because it was informative.

One goal this year is to read more books that my students read. I branched out & tried a graphic novel, isn’t my favorite type of writing however, the story was super cute & a really quick read. I will definitely be buying this book for my classroom library!

I really enjoyed this.  This is a great middle-grade comic book, not only about overcoming self-doubt, determination/dedication to incremental learning, and friendship, but also about the history of racism as relates to swimming segregation, and the impact, even after several generations.
