Is this book written extremely well? No. Will it always be fun and nostalgic for me to read? Yes. And I will enjoy it every time.
3 1/2 Stars. Although Twilight was addicting, it was not an amazing read. The plot was rife with potential, yet the author's writing just could not fully capitalize on that. A lot of Bella's interactions with guys were unrealistic for a high school transfer student who was never noticeable before. Bella's clingy, extremely dependent nature toward Edward also came off as annoying and improper to display for preteen girls especially. There were several grammatical sections that could have been edited better, and there seemed to be some unnecessary redundancy and lengthening of the story at points. All in all, although I liked the book, I could never love the book because, honestly, nothing about it truly grabbed me.{That's right, I'm not in love Edward--at all.}

I've read the book back then when it came out and I'll be forever greatful to Stephenie Meyer for this amazing book series and the movies. I love all kinds of Vampires, doesn't matter if they sparkle or not ;) Twilight will always hold a special place in my heart.
I also have to mention that it's getting real tiresome how people are still riding the Twilight hate train, it's been 20 years. Give it a rest lol. The hate against anything that teenage girls enjoy has always been out of proportion and the book nor the movies have ever deserved this vitriol. Are they "cringe"? Maybe, but they are also just an interesting take on vampires and they weren't made for you, they were made for me :P Yes, me specifically. And all the other girlies who enjoy some fun time with broody vampires!
