Finished in one sitting. Just as memorable as his last!! 4.5 stars because I would’ve loved a wee bit more development in the short story.

3.5? this one’s been on my tbr for awhile and decided to finally knock it out in one sitting. the different stories being told simultaneously kept me hooked. every time something interesting would happen the book would switch to the other plot and left me wanting more. the author kept me interested up until the very end where nothing seems to happen. the books just ends and left me feeling disappointed? i have more questions after finishing the book than i did when i started it.

Weird!
I can confidently say I've never read another book like this. It's formatted as a collection of documents from a serial killer after he and his partner disappeared, published in homage to their victims. There are poems, which we at first are meant to believe are written by Martyr (the killer), but end up being just stolen from the people he murdered.
The story of Tamsen and Pres is the most engaging part of this book. The set up is great, and seeing the loop reset itself was really interesting.
I would recommend this to someone who is in the mood for a disturbing vibe (is to be disturbed to be scared) but absolutely no plot. Stay away from this if you aren't into body horror or you're looking for narrative writing.
