Much easier to digest that scene than in the show. I enjoyed the book and the world, but I needed the audiobook to carry me through. Highly recommend reading through that way!

There are flaws that are valid. I just loved this book so much that I’m willing to move past those flaws and focus on the parts that I really enjoyed. The characters falling in love, the politics of confusing colonial Scotland times, the small side quests the characters found themselves in because it was just a part of daily life.

Sooooo long. Love the story and characters but I’m finding it hard to stay invested when I don’t really know the stakes, and I’m halfway through the book! Interesting things happen every once in a while but it’s been insanely drawn out.
