A slow beginning, took me about halfway through to get invested in the story, then I enjoyed it.

I love this series! Each book flowed very well!

Cops. Why did it have to be cops.

The Café at Beach End by RaeAnne Thayne is heartwarming story that will have you laughing, crying and warm your heart. This heartwarming, emotional story takes us on a journey into the lives of
the people who knew you when life’s possibilities seemed limitless and full of hope; family members now dealing with loss, pain, distrust, regrets, healing and love. A broken family finding their way back to each other against the odds; cousins who were like sisters, disappointments that are hard to overcome, and pain that is difficult to live with. Old insecurities, jealousies and presumptions are a few of the obstacles that could prevent the cousins from a bright new life.

Ms. Thayne wrote a story that reaches the soul; the soul of her characters as well the soul of her readers. This story had everything: close family supporting one another, heartwarming characters, heartbreaking pasts, adorable kids, second chances and friendships. Well written with a great cast of characters that draw you into the story and make you feel like a resident of Cape Sanctuary. An engrossing read about starting over, reconnecting with estranged family, finding a new purpose in a life that's not gone as expected, single parenthood, and above all, forgiveness. I highly recommend The Café at Beach End to other readers.

This was an easy summer read. The romance was wholesome ... falling in love happens at just the right time. I liked how the chapters bounced back and forth between the perspectives of Meredith, her cousin Tori, and Liam. Themes of forgiveness, love, and loyalty gave this story its power.

We meet Meredith who is returning to Cape Sanctuary, the town she loved as a child when she spend many happy times with her Grandmother and her cousin Tori. A lot has changed in the interveening years, her Grandmother has passed away and left the Cafe she owned and ran to Tori and Meredith. Tori is resentful that Meredith hasn't been back for years and it is not a happy reunion. Tori begrudingly allows Meredith to work in the cafe but makes it plain that this is only happening because Meredith owns half of it.
Meredith enjoys working in the cafe and starting to do up the cottage her Grandmother left her. She also attracks the attention of Liam but is he really who he says he is?
Tori has her own problems, such as her daughter skipping school, not handing in homework and maybe for her, the attraction she has for her dead husbands brother.
Meredith is very wary of people as her husband swindled a lot of people out of their money and people think Meredith knew all about it.
Can Meredith make a new life for herself and will she and Tori manage to repair their relationship? Will both of them find love and happiness?
A well written plot with engaging characters and setting. I loved the cafe setting and the town. I also liked that we caught glimpses of the cottage as it was being rennovated.

This book is a book about redemption and new beginnings. Meredith Collins coasts into the town of Cape Sanctuary on a nearly empty gas tank. Her life has been turned upside down after her ex-husband tricked investors out of millions of dollars of their own money, and later died in prison. Meredith has been in the crosshairs of the investigation and public opinion, but now she needs to start over.

Cape Sanctuary holds special memories of her youth and time with her grandmother. She has a rough reunion with her cousin Tori due to old hurt feelings. Meredith rolls up her sleeves, cleans up the cabin her grandmother left her, and works washing dishes at the cafe that Tori runs. She is determined to get a fresh start on her new life, but that plan has it challenges due to her relationship with Tori, and connecting with a mysterious writer who is renting the next door cabin.

I love how this author writes her stories and brings not only a romance but female friendships to the forefront.

Tori and Meredith had a very close relationship until a decision changes things. Meredith and her ex had a great life until he swindles people out of their money.

Now having to put pieces together, Meredith needs to mend fences.

I loved the story!!!
