A really enjoyable read! Very fast paced and easy to get through. I got attached to the characters, and enjoyed the changing perspectives every chapter. Going back and forth between the trials and the spying kept me very engaged. I'm looking forward to continuing this series and would recommend!

I truly despise this book. Part of this is my fault as I thought it was fantasy, not romantasy. Other reasons include the writing style, misogynistic male main character who's painted as a hero? but clearly hates women, and the somehow least likely but also most predictable outcomes.

I’m really conflicted with this one. Objectively there isn’t anything wrong with this book but I just found myself not caring about what was going to happen with our main characters. The “romance” was very insta-lusty and not believable in my opinion. Not sure if I’ll continue this series or not at this point.

OKAY, if you are looking for a high stakes fast paced fantasy this one really hits. I swear it just picks up running and it left me speechless. But I stg if I walked into another incomplete series I’m gonna SCREAM.
