I've become a big fan of Catherine Ryan Howard. I've read [b:The Nothing Man|51166217|The Nothing Man|Catherine Ryan Howard|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1595212537l/51166217._SY75_.jpg|75872846] and really, really enjoyed it and am currently reading an ARC of 56 Days and digging it.

Definitely one of my newest go-to authors.

A good book but the jumping back and forward in time did not appeal to me! The writing techniques was clever enough though. I liked the Dublin setting.

This was a disappointing read. It started out very strong, with a great premise, dual narratives, and a suspenseful reunion with an alleged serial killer/lover. Then after 30% in, it just falls flat and becomes a convoluted mess of a story with no real direction. In the end, I struggled to finish it, and the revelation is such a letdown, I dare say lazy. Not many characters to care for or even root for, especially the main character Allison. Blargh. It just wasn't giving what it promised to give.
