Very interesting read although some parts were a little longer to get through!

This is a fantastic book. On the scale of academic to accessible side it does lean towards the former, but the authors do a good job of making their points understandable without “dumbing it down.” It’s really refreshing to hear these fresh perspectives and the other perspectives the authors highlight and cite throughout the book.

It really challenges assumptions most of us were taught about early history. It’s a dense read and while I am planning on purchasing a hard copy, it may be one better to experience as an audiobook first.
