I found the MC intriguing, funny, and the lack of reliability in the plot interesting! As many others have said, it could have been more, but for 64 pages, you have very little to lose with a fast paced book like this.

A good little story with no proper ending.

Had to knock this down a few stars cuz that ending was not as satisfying as I wanted it to be. Granted, it makes narrative sense and works towards the themes of swindling others and manipulation, but I was so invested in the haunted house story that the ending didn't live up to it. Also, waaaay too much dialogue towards the end. But, I did love the main character and the writing, plus the atmosphere was top notch! I might check out other titles by this author (except Gone Girl; tried to read that, gave up after 10 pages) but I was overall pleasantly surprised by this story.
