my first agatha christie i read instead of listened to. not sure i enjoyed it as much
Es el primero que leo de Agatha. Lo que más me llamó la atención fue su personaje, Poirot. Tiene algo curioso porque es un señor normal, no demasiado guapo o heroico en el sentido convencional, pero aún así es un personaje que te conquista. Sus manías me hicieron rodar los ojos dos o tres veces durante el libro, lo que me hizo sonreír al darme cuenta. Pero también te encariñas de su código de honor, de sus peculiaridades al investigar y de su persistencia.
El libro se va bien rápido (bueno, es muy corto). Te puedes imaginar perfectamente a cada personaje en lo físico, lo que es bonito. El misterio no es taaaan misterioso porque lo adivinas antes de acabar el libro, aunque tampoco demasiado pronto. Y al final te gana la necesidad de enterarte de todos los detalles y te sigues hasta que se acaba la novelita.

Not my favorite Poirot novel but still enjoyable. I really enjoyed the cast of characters in this but the ending was a bit of a stretch for me. I did enjoy that the incomparable Hercule Poirot has a fear, the dentist. It makes him just a little more human. If this was the first Poirot novel that I read I would have thought it wonderful, but as it is the 23rd I really was expecting more.
Well. I did not expect that twist at all. Like genuinely I am still reeling from it. The more Agatha Christie I read the less a book can really do this to me. I just I really hadn’t guessed any of it.
Anyway she does use the n-word at one point, but I will say it was uttered by a very intentionally unlikeable character.
