I liked the first but I LOVED the second and third because I've just fallen in love with the characters
Ahhhh I’m so upset this is a different audiobook narrator. I am going to read a physical copy instead so I can still hear Leslie Manville’s voice in my head.

I know I’m in the minority here but HEAR ME OUT, OKAY??
First of all, I know we have all the characters down Pat now but honestly there were way too many POVs in this one and I had to do a couple double takes to figure out who in the heck I was reading about now.
Secondly, while I am all for the charm and beauty of elderly main characters, I started getting lost with “the Viking” AND THEN ALSO AN EX KGB THAT HAD AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS TO FRENEMIES PIPELINE WOTH ELIZABETH??? Fr fr fr fr??? Too much. Just far too much for me, sorry.
And I just do not buy none of them picking up Bogden and Donna like are you serious?? None of them figured it out until the end?
Speaking of the end, I’m angry. I can appreciate a good twist and a surprise but this one was just….too neat and too call back to the beginning and yea I know that means foreshadowing and callbacks and all those other literary devices where used well but I DIDN’T WANT IT. And now I have to read a book where 70+ year olds vacation to Dubai???? Please no.
Also, BOBBI BROWN MASCARA AFE YOU SERIOUS??
I didn’t hate reading it and I’m definitely going to see if the next book is in the library right after posting this but I just was miffed at this one and the elements in it just took me out a bit.
