I love the Thursday Murder Club series, and this is the only one of the series that I'm giving a low rating. This book seemed sloppy throughout, and there were far too many story lines and loose plots. The surprises were obvious. I'm a huge fan of the series but this one was a slog.

Getting to know the gang better makes for better books. I had to laugh more and Alan is the perfect addition to the team.

Can't tell you how much of a relief it is to have fiction like this to escape into right now.

52 Book Club Challenge:Prompt #12-A book about secrets
I’m really glad I stuck with this series. Brilliant writing, complicated characters, clever plots. Couldn’t put this one down.
Another fantastic book in this series. Wonderful writing and fantastic characters. The ending did take a little while to wrap up I felt but for me it was all about the journey rather than the destination anyway. Hilarious and touching too. Bring on the next book.
