I do love these books! Quite Agatha Christie. I love the characters and [spoiler alert:] envy Donna her Bogdan! I did think some of the clues were a bit more obvious this time and the allocation of deaths to murderers a little muddied, but it was a lovely read over a weekend of not being very well.
Another fun round with this crew. I do find I prefer the stories when the ensemble is together. The new addition of Victor is one I hope we see again in the fourth novel.

Another cute, complex British mystery that's a satisfying progression in the series. We love our main 4 and the recurring side characters (more Bogdan please!). They're scheming, they're having a (mostly) great time, there's a new dog... lovely.
What sets this installment apart is that everybody got to have their time to shine & figure something of the mystery out, even if Elizabeth is usually the driving force.Ibrahim figured out the faked suicide note, Joyce figured out the detective's character name, Ron figured out the Robert Brown name. But, in order to give them all their chances to shine, they were largely doing their own things with the separate new side characters. They're best when they're scheming together as a group, though. I didn't care much about Ron's new romance, but I do love Donna & Bogdan.
A complex, layered plot as always. No, I cannot remember all the moving parts even after only a couple of days. No way you could figure it out before the characters though, as some things are kept from you. And I kind of hate the ploy of a character figuring out a piece of the puzzle, but not revealing it to the reader--end of chapter--smash cut to next scene. But it keeps you reading, I guess.
Still a really enjoyable time, and I will keep reading/listening to the rest of the series.
