I wasn't expecting much out of this book, but yowza did it keep me glued the whole time reading it. I started to even feel like I was adopting OCD behaviours because of how well written this book is. It pretty much grabs you from the beginning until the very last page.

Great example of how dangerous it is that we romanticize toxic masculinity.

Another amazing thriller added to the list! The book started slow, but I loved how the book was broken up into small segments switching from the past to the current because it kept me engaged! At times I wasn’t sure if Catherine/Cathy was imagining it all because it felt like she was never going to face Lee. My only complaint was when we finally got the confrontation between Cathy & Lee it was very short and not realistic based on the fact that Cathy was a nervous nelly 90% of the book. I would definitely recommend to a friend, especially as a vacation read since it’s an easy read.

I couldn't put this book down! It is a story about a relationship that turns abusive and then Heroine's aftermath and recovery. This story really gave me a glimpse into obsession and how an abusive relationship progresses to the point where someone can't get out. I also felt like Cathy's paranoia and OCD were so well written as well as her and Stuart's relationship. Just a very well written story. I loved it :)

I never wanted to stop reading this. The OCD of the MC is repetitive, but it's incredible how the author made that work! It's frustrating, but it's so critical to understanding the MC. It's really curious how some authors can just hook you and keep you coming back. It's not a short book, but it feels short. It's certainly disturbing, with lots of trigger warnings, but the build is impressive. My only issue is how believable the love story is. I don't think the MC was remotely datable. I'm torn between 3 and a 4 stars.
