Took me a really long time to read because of the small writing, but i liked it. It took me like a year to read it (big gaps in between reading sessions) because it was kinda boring and repetitive in the writing. Way to much dialogue. I feel like they ask and answer the same questions so many times. Its very cheesy, especially the two main characters. They are always in a super emotinal mood like in the way they talk to eachother. Never seem to lighten up.

But i did enjoy finally finishing the book and it was very emotinal, i actually shed a few tears which i have never done while reading before. I would recommend this book if u like a lot of dialogue and romance and if youre a teenager like me. Actually its kinda cheesy even for me and im only 13

This book broke my heart. That’s an understatement, it ripped it our, shattered it, just about mended it made me feel hopeful and then smashed it with a sledgehammer again. I SOBBED my poor little heart out for the last 100 pages or so, non stop crying. Rune and Poppy made me believe in love again, the kind of love that makes life worth living.

“Mamaw also said that the best things in life die quickly, like the cherry blossom. Because something so beautiful can never last forever, shouldn’t last forever. It stays for a brief moment in time to remind us how precious life is, before fading away just as quickly as it came. She said that it teaches you more in its short life than anything that is forever by your side.”

It was so beautifully written. Each page just flowed from one to the next, there was so much symbolism and love. I highlighted so many quotes. I couldn’t put the book down, didn’t want it to end. I thought I knew what the ending would be and I couldn’t face that so didn’t want to reach that point, I knew it would break me (which is did 😂) but even then Tillie Cole threw in a twist that had me sobbing all over again. On the surface it’s a story about two young people madly in love but at its core it’s about the beauty of life. Living each day like it’s your last and treasuring every moment.

Poppy and Rune are two characters that I will hold close to my heart forever, they’re special and unforgettable. Just as special and unforgettable as the love that they shared. I cannot recommend this book enough, if you’re a romance fan this is a MUST READ,, even if you aren’t a romance fan then still read it, Easiest 5 stars ever and put me into a huge reading slump after.

“We all have people who carry us through the worst of times, the saddest of times, the times that seem impossible to break free from. In one way or another, whether it’s through the Lord or a loved one or both, when we feel like we can’t walk on anymore, someone swoops in to help us … someone carries us through.”

“It was like home. You and me, together, were infinity—we were joined. In that moment, that moment when our breathing was rough and you held me so tightly … it was the best moment of my life.”

p.s where can I find myself a Rune Kristiansen. I’m on the lookout for a norewegian man with long blonde hair who also happens to be a photographer….not sure if I’m asking for the impossible there 😂
