This was a great political drama and also pretty insightful into unique and familiar challenges faced by tribal governments. I enjoyed Mitch’s struggle with his conscience and the interplay between that and his search for purpose, identity, and a sense of home. I also appreciated how the morals and outcomes tended to be ambiguous, rather than wrapping things up with a nice bow. It added depth to the ways that corrupt individuals and systems can justify their actions to themselves and others.
