Had soooo much potential but DNFed at 66% bc it had a surprise pregnancy and I refuse to deal with that
I HAVE NEVER, IN ALL MY YEARS OF LIVING, GONE THROUGH A BOOK THIS FAST!!! Did it affect my work and hindered me from doing day to life activities?? Yes. Did I ditch my social life in order to read it? Yes. Was it worth it? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY YES. 10000% YES.
I have no idea what the author puts in these books but this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I literally wished the concept of sleep didn't exist and wanted to tape my eyelids open just so I can finish it.

Can I tbh I’m so torn. 4-4.3/5 region. I thought this would be my fav couple but sometimes I really disliked Dante lol. He just seemed somewhat immature in some ways idek how to describe it. Also sometimes he was so cringe and would say like fierce warrior princess… I really liked Amara and my heart broke for her many times. I just think a little too much was going on in this book once it got to the present time (I loved the growing up sections). But the amount of subplots or character connections was getting too much. I think I’ll continue the series but I def need a break cuz I’m getting bored. However I loved Vin and hers friendship and Tristan loving Xander like a son.
Spoiler summary:
Amara and Dante’s love story where she grows up with a crush on him but then sees him bury a body and starts to avoid him. He noticed and asked her why and starts being intrigued, she then gets kidnapped, tortured and raped for 3 days before Tristan and Dante find her. Then it goes over the years of her being exiled and a 7 year hidden relationship with Dante cuz he says they need to play the long game of chess. Finally his dad dies so he goes to find Amara and turns out she’s pregnant. They both get kidnapped and she loses one of the babies. So now they go back to Tenebrae and prepare to get married as they reveal more shit about Mr. X, Nerea, and the syndicate (all evil) and Alpha (good).

Little crush: “The girl blinked once, before giving him a little smile, almost shy. “You have really pretty eyes,” she told him. Before he could respond, she turned away and ran down the hill”
“He gave her a little wink, watching her flush and quickly look away, and he wanted to laugh in the middle of the shitshow”
13 yr- Aw her and Vinny are so sweet as besties: “He’ll be everything dark and you’re afraid of the dark, remember? You don’t belong in that world. You deserve better.”
13- “Breathing out through her mouth, Amara rested her head on Vin’s shoulder, finding comfort in knowing he was someone who knew her, loved her as fully as she did.
“Will you be dark too, Vinnie?” she asked him quietly, wondering about where his fate was taking him. If his training, his father’s life was anything to go by, it wasn’t a good place.
“I don’t know,” he sighed. “But I’ll never be dark for you.”
