There's not actually a button in the book, just a picture of the button. That's good because it says you're not supposed to push it. Except for at some points. Then it says you should push it. She's three. I tried pushing the picture of the button.

Adorable and silly! A great interactive book to share with little ones. Recommended for preK-2

I read this with my life skills classes last week, and we might have a new competitor for favorite read aloud! We had so much fun with this interactive story!

Fun.

Simple, fun, and definitely inviting. Plus, the kids DO get to push the button, causing some unexpected circumstances for our dear narrator.

Published 2013 (Note: Press Here by Hervé Tullet was published in 2011)

Larry the Monster has one rule: Don't push the button. But it probably won't hurt anything if you do. What will happen?!

So this is pretty much a rip off of Hervé Tullet's amazing book Press Here. But that doesn't make it any less exciting to toddlers who love how interactive it is. One thing I don't care for is that Larry kind of peer pressures the audience into pushing the button saying, "Psst! No one is looking. You should give the button one little push." This is really why I prefer Press Here to Don't Push the Button.

My four year old is currently OBSESSED with this book. Asks to read it a million times a day

Baby Bookworm absolutely loves this book! We have read it at least once a week since July lol. Sometimes we read it every night at book time.

If you're looking for an interactive book, this one is an excellent choice! The book is about a monster that warns the reader about pushing the button on each page. Finally, the monster suggests that the button is pushed and immediately we can see what happens when the button is pushed! Things keep getting worse and worse with each button push yet we cannot seem to control ourselves! Finally, the monster reads instructions on how to get things back to normal, but not before asking us to push the button one more time! Not sure who gets more joy out of this book, the reader or the listeners?!
