I really enjoyed this book! It had a lot of the things I loved about the first one while adding some new elements that kept it fresh. I found it didn’t keep my attention quite as well as the first book, potentially because I was listening to the audiobook.

this book was an absolute thrill ride front start to finish! the world is so expertly constructed and every time a new piece is revealed, it fits right into place. i am so so excited to see where the next book goes with the story and the characters and everything!!

Der zweite Band der Legendborn Reihe hat mir genauso gut gefallen wie Teil 1, auch wenn wir mehr neue Geheimnisse und fragen bekommen haben als Antworten. Ein Plot Twist jagt hier den nächsten und es ist von vorne bis hinten spannend. Viele actionreiche Szenen, was ich richtig geliebt habe. Das einzige Manko: Teil 3 lässt noch eine ganze Weile auf sich warten, was bei dem Ende hier echt gemein ist.
Majority of this book is dialogue. If you enjoy that, this book is for you. If you want literally anything else that is typically included in a novel, give this one a miss.
Second book in the Legendborn cycle so I will leave my rating at this; I'm super grateful Oathbound already exists because I will need to read it very soon. Content note: grief is a very prevalent theme in these books, so be mindful when picking them up.
