Despite the interesting subject matter, the writing was too dry and academic. I just couldn't force myself through it.

book #14 of 2020: Mind of the Raven: Investigations and Adventures with Wolf-Birds by Bernd Heinrich. I’ve read more than a few evolutionary biology books, but i believe this was my first by an experimental biologist: inventive, fascinating, thoughtful, insightful, and quite enjoyable. 4/5. and now for something completely different....
This book is fascinating!! It will probably be very boring to you if you aren't already interested in birds. But if you are, this is a must-read. My only real criticism is that at times it felt overly repetitive.
