Three novellas, rather than a single novel.

This is a collection of three (long) short stories/novellas featuring the supernatural, and starring Lord John Grey from the Outlander series.
I find Lord John an interesting character, and I steamed through this collection in about a day. (The end result is that I now want to re-read all of the Outlander books. Heh.)

A good read, if you like Gabaldon, and particularly if you like Lord John.

This is three novellas in one book, each preceding one of the main novels. The first (Hellfire Club) is not very good and the conclusion is very unsatisfying (and I think it actually might contradict canon from The Private Matter). The second and third help to colour the background of the Lord John novels and are good reads in and of themselves.

Would give 3 stars to the first novella, and 4 to the second and third. I really enjoyed these and I have with all of the John Grey books. He's a fantastic complex character and he is fascinating to read.
