Not as strong as the Gathering Storm.  But the highs were still high and the lows got scary for sure. Perrin’s story is fascinating because half the time it bores me and the other half it’s amazing but it’s not binary in how it displays that. It’s peppered throughout. So excited to start A Memory of Light now!

The pacing is much faster, and the characters are finally starting to come into their own and find their groove. They are all in place where they are supposed to be, lending to the buildup of reveals and even a twist or two that left me wanting even more.

Finished a reread. You can definitely hear Brando Sando's voice in the dialogue, especially Mat's, and it jumps characters way too quickly (can we stick with the same character for two chapters running just a *little* more often?), and the wolf dream training gets a little tedious (this is why training in movies are done through montages), but overall it's a great book
