4.5 stars- for me this book is to character development what the last one was to plot points- suddenly so much all at once! Hard to stop reading and thanks to insomnia I really didn’t... one more to go....
good for Perrin and his development! Good job buddy I knew you'd get there one day. His realization that he had to fully accept the wolf side (duh) in order to not succumb was a loooong time in coming. I like that Rand is starting to mend all the chaos he caused. And contrary to popular opinion I actually like Matt. If I don't get an EM5 reunion though imma be pissed.

Another very good installment, though not quite as tight as #12. A lot of loose ends from previous books came back around, finally.

The fact that Perrin's storyline is out of sync for a lot of this is very frustrating. It's good to see more of the subplots get finished and come together for the final battle. Think this is the first time since the 1st book that the main characters are actually in the same place!!
The end has finally come, and it damn sure feels like it.
This might be the fastest I've read a Wheel of Time book -- eight days. Part of that is due to the fact that this story is coming to an action-packed close, and part of it is due to Sanderson's accessible writing style. Regardless, I was devouring hundreds of pages at a time, coming up for a couple hours of air, and diving right back in.
This is the first book in a long time where Perrin has risen to his full potential (at least since book 4 or 5). Some awesome moments for him, and some devastating ones as well. Mat's journey was suitably eerie and disturbing, and Rand is now more interesting than ever before.
One final book. 1000 more pages. Not sure how it's all going to end, but you can be sure that I'm going to find out damn soon.

One last build-up book. Much better than the slump books, but still largely a build-up book. But, wow, the next book is going to be awesome; I can already feel it. I've felt sad about having to stay away from the fandom during my read to avoid spoilers. I would have loved to be part of the fandom as it released, but I can't imagine waiting years for the next book. Birgitte x Mat friendship, needed more. Once again, the battle in Tar Valon was the most fun; Tel'aran'rhiod King, my boy Perrin. The suspense at the ending was wild af. Can't wait for A Memory of Light.
I've only got two words - Mind. Blown.

This was a re-read, but I'd forgotten how good it is.
